  • “There may be hope on the horizon as we head into the prime-time months for sellers.”
  •          Brokers added 12,043 new listings of homes and condos.
  •          16 of the 26 counties in the report had at least a 20% increase in active listings at the end of April compared to March.
  •          Even with some improvement in listings there is only 0.64 months of inventory, with even less supply (0.57 months) in the four-county Puget Sound region.

KIRKLAND, Washington (May 5, 2021) – Finally, some good news for home buyers! Sizeable increases in new listings compared to a year ago and reports of moderating prices “might mean we are seeing some relief for buyers,” suggested John Deely, a board member at Northwest Multiple Listing Service.

Seattle area prices are surging.

Median prices system-wide surged 19.5% compared to a year ago. Statistics show a 55.9% decline in total active listings, shrinking from 9,418 at the end of March 2020 to 4,153 at month end March 2021.

The resulting lack of inventory combined with area job growth has created a market where double-digit price hikes were widespread. In fact, mutually accepted offers surged 40.6% compared to February with Seattle/Bellevue region now ranks #1 in technology office space leases, eclipsing San Francisco.

In a market like this you need more than an agent to just stick a sign in the yard. You need a detailed marketing plan that’s going to get your home maximum exposure quickly. Then when the offers come in you need someone

The 2021 Real Estate market is off to fiery start! Inventory is low and homes that hit the market are selling for WAY over list price! Yesterday, I had my 1st sale of the year and as I reflect on last year with 44 closings, I know we are going to see a lot more inventory in the coming months. If you are thinking of buying or selling I would love to help! With 1% listing fees, I save my sellers a lot of $$ and I LOVE working with buyers as well. I am thankful for my clients in the past, present and future! Enjoy the weekend and Cheers to a great year ahead! Warmly, Hailey

Season's greetings on this frosty Christmas Eve! I have been meaning to share this post for the last week, but the week before Christmas has been a little bit busy. Wishing you and yours the best on this beautiful day!

We have been wanting to find more ways we can help people in our community and show Leif the importance of getting involved and helping those in need. In talking to one of my clients about this a few months back, he mentioned that he had taken his boys to feed the homeless through an organization called "Mamma's Hands". That name rang a bell for me because just last year I helped one of my clients buy a home that was being retired from "Mama's Hands".  At the time of the transaction I had done a little internet research to find out what

Christmas trees are the centerpiece for many holiday celebrations and traditions. But, as consumers become more environmentally conscious, many may wonder: Which type of tree is more eco-friendly, real or fake?

After all, cutting down real trees seems to be shrinking our already depleted forests. However, fake trees are made of plastic, which doesn't seem all that green, either.

These days, a survey by CGS found that for more than two-thirds of consumers, environmental concerns drive their purchases, and they're willing to pay more for sustainable products. Younger consumers, like Gen Z, are even more environmentally aware, with nearly 70% making an eco-friendly purchase over the past year.

So which tree fits better

I have a beautiful listing in the Cedar Falls neighborhood, right across from the park. Just thought I would throw it out there if anyone has interested buyers. c It has gorgeous mountain views from every window and is the largest floorplan in the neighborhood. Bring your buyers or send them to the open house this Sunday from 1:30-4:30.

  • The dollar volume of homes purchased by foreigners from April 2018 through March 2019 dropped 36% from the previous year, according to the National Association of Realtors.
  • Foreigners bought 183,100 properties with a total value of about $77.9 billion, down from 266,800 properties valued at $121 billion a year earlier.
  • “The magnitude of the decline is quite striking, implying less confidence in owning a property in the U.S.,” the Realtors’ chief economist says."
