          Hello,  I hope you are having a great Fall and didn’t get to drenched trick or treating with your kids, I know we were soaked in less than an hour. This is an exciting time of year; leaves are falling, it’s snowing in the mountains and we had a crazy amount of rain over the weekend:)!

Where to stay? Why not try Hotel Rose 

We used www.hotwire.com and were able to book a two-night stay for about $200 bucks. With its iconic food cart gatherings, anti-establishment murals and even a doughnut shop that performs weddings, it's no wonder the mantra of this town is “Keep Portland Weird.” And right in the heart of it all you’ll find Hotel Rose, a funky, fun and “oh-so-Portland” boutique hotel located directly across from Tom McCall Waterfront Park on the beautiful Willamette River.

 Must try eats and drinks:

Stumptown Coffee – the line will likely be out the door but it is worth every sip

Voodoo Donuts- A perfect accompaniment to your cup of joe and some of the wackiest donuts on the planet.
